The San Antonio Minority Golf Association (SAMGA) is a 501 3-c non-profit organization and USGA certified golf club.
The purpose of SAMGA is to support and promote our community through the game of golf, to assist the youth and charitable organizations within San Antonio and surrounding locales by establishing and conducting golf programs and conducting competitive events among our members with a regular program of activities and social functions. The primary goal is to promote good citizenship, fellowship, sportsmanship and community growth.
OUR MISSION
The purpose of the SAMGA is to:
1. Promote the game of golf;
2. Assist other golf associations and golf courses in the San Antonio and surrounding communities in establishing or conducting golf programs and conducting competitive events among its members through a regular program of activities and social functions;
3. Assist the youth of said communities by enhancing their productivity and involvement in becoming good community citizens;
4. Maintain a uniform system of handicapping as set forth in the USGA Handicap System and issue USGA Handicap Indexes to the members; and
5. Provide an authoritative body to govern and conduct club competitions.
